Strategic Plan 2023-27 (Brief summary)
Having reached the end of our 5 year plan, the MEL Subgroup reflected on our achievements and and created a new plan for 2023-27. Our student Aiko Imamura assisted us in the review process. We were pleased to note that we have achieved most of what we set out to do. The full plan can be accessed here.
Sadly, the “Bright Futures” project in that earlier Plan did not attract funding and establishing a Former Pupils Association has proved difficult for very practical reasons. Instead, we plan to promote partnership working with organisations in Malawi which provide mentoring and careers advice. This will involve school visits by women who can be positive role models for the pupils.
This new project ties in with our new Priority, Localisation. We will be working towards more planning and decision making being done by Malawians in Malawi.
Admin and IT
Moira Dunworth has continued to do our administration on a voluntary basis for which we are very grateful. However, we still have not found someone to take over IT, so this must be a priority for the coming year!
