Working towards moving more of the focus of decision making and service provision from Scotland to Malawi.
We recognise that this is a long term commitment and in the lifetime of this plan we will aim to achieve the following:
- Carry out an analysis of governance tasks
- Assess which tasks should be carried out in Malawi
- Identify people with leadership skills and commitment in Malawi
- Search for and appoint more Trustees in Malawi
This will enable us, in the more distant future, to work towards:-
- A gradual relinquishing of relevant decision making to Trustees in Malawi within the Malawian legal framework
- The setting up of a partner Board of Trustees in Malawi, working closely with us.
- Continue to raise funds in Scotland and offer advice and support within a partnership of equals.
