Kiltwalk for the Mamie Martin Fund

The Kiltwalks are a great way to get out in the fresh air, get a lot of exercise, meet new people, laugh, take photos and raise money for MMF. If you don’t feel up to the walking, or are not able to do so, you might be able to support a person or team on their fundraising pages.

Hazel McIntyre walked the Edinburgh ‘Mighty Stride’ in 2024 which was an amazing 21 miles. Well done, Hazel, and her friends who were walking for the Salvation Army. A great day was had by all. The weather was kind and the fun was all around!

We had a Big Stroll and a Might Stride team in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2023. It was a very wet day but they were all still smiling at the end. From L-R: Image 1: Sa’Ad, Simone, Sudhir, Violet, Yara. Image 2: Nick, Kathleen.

The Kiltwalk returned to in-person events in 2022

From L-R in the photo – Angela Drummond, Mariot Dallas and Kathleen Sargeant walked The Big Stroll of 15 miles around Edinburgh on 18th Sept 2022. Of course the weather was wonderful, the chat was good and the feet were not all that sore afterwards. Great work in raising awareness of and funds for girls’ education in Malawi.

Mariot led team ‘Mamie Martin’ on the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 24th April 2022. Simone, Sa’ad, Yara, Violet, Sudhi, Amanda and Toffee, the dog, joined her in doing 14.37 miles of the Big Stroll!
