The main purpose of the Mamie Martin Fund is to pay school fees for girls in North Malawi who would not otherwise be able to attend secondary school. Buying this gift card will allow us to fund a month of schooling for a boarding-school girl. Boarding schools are a vital part of education in Malawi and are very far from the elite schools that we might think of when we hear ‘boarding’. They are necessary for safety reasons and because of the huge distances to be covered between home and school.
