Become a supporter
If you have an interest in the education of girls in Malawi, we welcome you to become a Supporter of the Mamie Martin Fund. You do not need to make a donation in order to become a Supporter, all you need to do is complete this form. By doing so, you will be kept regularly up to date with our work, as well as receive an invitation to attend our Annual General Meeting and other events that we organise.
Whether you raise £10 or £1,000, every penny raised for the Mamie Martin Fund goes a long way to support the education of girls in Malawi.
Our wee (and our not-so-wee) supporters of girls’ education in Malawi cycled 2 ‘Wee Jaunts’ during 2018, in May in Falkirk (7.5 miles) and in September (Linlithgow to Edinburgh 10 miles). Both routes are flattish, traffic-free and family-friendly. Both events are joint fundraisers with the Soko Fund and we plan to do the Falkirk one on an annual basis. The 2019 date is Sunday May 12th!
If you are planning an event and would like some resources, such as logos, our reports or hints/tips, please see this page.
Events are a great way to raise money – whether you would like to organise a musical concert, or host a dinner party in aid of the Mamie Martin Fund, we can provide you with advice, assist you in promotion, and send a representative to speak at your event. You can set up a personal event and fundraising page on VirginMoneyGiving. It’s quick and easy. Let us know about it so that we can share it on social media and generally ‘shout’ about it! Get in touch too if you’d like us to help you plan something another way.

We are always grateful for the help of volunteers. If you have a particular skill that you think may be useful, experience of Malawi, or would like to learn more about what we do by getting involved as a volunteer, please get in touch. Please note that we do not offer overseas volunteer placements.
Are you getting married soon, or perhaps have a milestone birthday to celebrate, and would like to encourage your family & friends to donate to charity instead of giving you gifts? Tell us about it because we would like to post a ‘thank you’ on our News section.
