Meet our partners

We are proud to partner organisations both in Malawi and in Scotland.

The CCAP Synod of Livingstonia has been our partner since our inception in 1993. Without these colleagues, the Mamie Martin Fund could not have been established, far less continue to support girls’ education for almost three decades. Joseph Munyimbiri is the Executive Director, pictured here with Moira, Angie and Mercy. This partnership is at the heart of our organisation.

The Soko Fund is a Scottish-based charity which supports young women at university in Malawi. We collaborate on some fundraising and policy-making and constantly learn from each other. At least five MMF beneficiaries are awarded Soko funding every four years. Watch our video (below) about ‘interconnectivity’!

Mchengautuba Community Day Secondary School is a new school in a very poor area of Mzuzu. It is government and community funded. It is managed by the School Management Committee together with the Parent-Teacher Association and the ‘Mothers’ Group’, a community-based organisation focused on the welfare needs of the pupils. The local community contributes to the continuing building of the school.

The Catholic Diocese of Karonga owns and runs four schools in North Malawi. St Mary’s Karonga Girls’ Secondary School is a grant-aided secondary school just outside the city of Karonga. Pictured here are the Head Teacher, Mrs Cizumila, the District Officer, Mr Kamanga and the MMF Malawi Manager, Mrs Sibande.
