Legacy of young woman student

The parents of a young speech and language therapy student, Julia Luxmoore Peto, who died in a traffic accident in September 2018 have chosen the Mamie Martin Fund for donations in her memory. Julia was 27 when she was so tragically killed while crossing the road in Deptford, London. She always cared about other people and her parents felt that the mission and work of MMF fitted well with her wishes, even though they had not had any contact with us previously. Friends and family have made donations in her memory through our BTMyDonate page.

Her father said “She believed in social justice and she was a feminist, and she believed in supporting people who were less fortunate than herself. She would have made a cracking speech and language therapist”. We, the Mamie Martin Fund Trustees, are humbled that this family can be so generous to our girls in this very difficult time for them.
